Short and without legal fog: what happens to the data you send through the contact form, and what the site analytics collects.

What data is collected

Through the contact form I receive only what you typed yourself:

  • the name you gave;
  • an email address for the reply;
  • the text of your message.

Legal basis

Processing rests on your consent, given by ticking the checkbox under the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing the address below.

Purpose of processing

The data is used to reply to your enquiry. If your task goes beyond what I can do personally, the enquiry may be passed to OTAKOYI, the company where I work as CTO, so that a team can be offered to you. That handover is manual and only when needed; there is no automatic sync.

Storage

The site has no database of its own. Your enquiry exists as an email in my working inbox and is retained for no longer than one month, after which it is deleted. It is not written to a database, logs, or a CRM. Server logs keep only an error code, timestamp, and page locale: no name, email, message text, or IP address.

Email delivery — Resend

The email carrying your enquiry is delivered by Resend, which acts as a data processor. Your data passes through it in transit so the message reaches my inbox.

Analytics — Plausible

Visit statistics are collected by Plausible without cookies, personal data, or cross-site tracking. I can see which pages are read and where visitors came from, but not who they are. The site's only cookie is NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your chosen language; it is strictly functional and needs no consent.

Deletion and requests

Email hello@maluk.tech and I will delete the message carrying your enquiry from the mailbox I control and confirm it in my reply. This removes the copy I retain; technical retention within Resend's systems is governed by that processor's policy.
